Yes i think we should get rid of some ratings for movies because right now with movie rating we cannot go to 18A movies or R movies.  But if we got rid of the ratings we could go to these movies.  But at the same time you would need permission from someone who can go into the movies, such as your parents to go watch the movie.  You would need a note or something that proves you are aloud to watch this movie.  Or your parents could come into the movie theater and tell the ticket seller that the person has permeission to go see that movie.
There are many movies that have came out lately, such as the Hangover Part 2, but it is rated 18A, but you can't go see it because of the rating.  This movie is very funny and entertaining but we can't see it.  when it came out on DVD lots of people under the age of 18 watched the movie and were not stopped.  Although you could see the Hangover Part 2 if you had a parent with you or someone over 18 they may not have time to go with you and see the movie.
The third reason that we should get rid of movie ratings is so that kids and teenagers could be entertained by other movies.  They do not have to wait till the movie comes out on DVD.So do u think that we should get rid of movie ratings!?

Hey, i think that we should have ratings on movies because then we now about the movie and if we should watch it. Also, i think that it will be better because if your parents see the rating they will do what is best for you. And if it is a scary movie you will have nightmares. I disagree!

I agree movie ratings should be eliminatd because who are other people to tel us what we can and can't watch, that's the job of parents. If a parent approves a movie for their kids, then the kid should be allowed to watch it. Parents know what's best for their kids.

Herrrro Khodr,
I disagree with you because, it's a good thing to have ratings, because, their could be bad content or swear words that are not apporiate for the person's age. And lots of kids could possibly forge their parents signature or something.
Good job :)

Well, I disagree with you....... the movie/game rating have a purpose, to keep the right audiences in the right movie. For example, AP= Adult programing so people under 21 shouldn't watch this. R= Ristricted for over 18 year-olds. PG-13 = Parental guidance for nobody under 13 PG= Parental guidance you might need a parent to watch it wth you.
G=General adiances witch means it's for kids

I do not agree with you because the rating are there for your own safety . I have read once that peopel that are imature get all of this from a young age like us . When they are watching the rated movie they learn the moves that the actors do and they think that the ycan do it too . When it is inapropriate they will still do it because they don't know about it .
They might not even care because like I said they do not know about it . This may lead to them to not listen to there parents and may run away from home and join groups that will make his life horrible just for watching a movies that are not for his age like rated R movies . This may goo sooo far as to them being sexual because they saw it on a movie , or kill every student in there school just because he saw an actor do the same thing . If they put rating there must be a reason that they put it on the movie box or on the movie . I have seen on the news once that a tennage held a 45. pistole at there teacher . They say one of the reasons was that he watched a movie that did not suit his age . Later when they searched the teens home they found almost 50 CD'S and DVD's that most of them where rated R . So kids really may what to watch what they think is cool but that may be the movie that will change his\her life forever . So we should keep rating on our movies .

P.S. Do you Khoder think that one of thos movies will change your life ?

sorry... but i disagree with you. i think that we SHOULD have movie ratings because they show what ages should and shouldnt go see the movie. for example, if a little child goes to see a horror movie rated 18A, they could get really scared and have nightmares. or if they go see a movie thats rated R, they could learn about things that are inapropriate for children their age. in conclusion, i think that we SHOULD NOT get rid of movie ratings.

HELLO NOOB! i agree with you. we should get rid of movie ratings. You should just have a note from your parents or something. But there would be a lot of problems with this. Any one could forge their parents signature or make up a whole new signature and put it on a note saying they could in the movie. So first we would have to make a way so that people could get into the movies nd the people would know for sure that their parents signed it. Or we couldn't have movie ratings at all and could go into the movies just like that!

umm i think the ratings should be more accurate because i was watching the little fockers on the weekend and it is definately NOT for "PG 13" so they are kind of useless unless they are accurate....

hi khodeer :), i think we should have ratings because what if some kids parents dont want their kids to learn about something at their age, so they would know what movie is good for their kids to watch. good job!

Hey Khoder, sorry but i do not agree with you! If kids in grade 5 for example went to a rated R movie, then they will be seeing some very inappropriate scenes that could ruin their minds, and they could get influenced by the actors. For example, if a 8 year old boy goes and sees Fast 5, he'll probably get influenced by the actors driving their cars and will take his go-kart and try those crazy tricks that are actuallt fake! We know that those things are face, but he doesen't! Also, in rated R movies, people use bad language, which some little kids will develop saying, and would not leave a good impression on them as they get older.

Also, by the way, in the States, their rating are much more strict then ours. If a movie is rated PG 13 there, it is actually rated PG here, so we actually have a better rating system in Canada, the in the States.

Hi khoder good job!!!

i think that we should have movie ratings because so parents know wat their kids should watch and dont watch for example i dont think parents would want their kids watching the movie Arthur! theres very explict content in it. so if they wnna chek if its aproprite they coould just chek the movie rating. if they wtch bad movies then they may thonk oh i wnna act like tht. and if u want to rent out a movie thats 18A you have to have id proving ur 18+

i disagree with you, we shouldn't get rid of movie ratings, i think this because if there wouldn't any movie rating you don't know if you wanna watch it, for example if the rating is 1 or 2 stars you may not want to watch it if it's 5 stars people may want to watch it. In conclusion i think we shouldn't get rid of movie ratings.

good job :P

i think that we should keep the movie rating on the movies that way they are because they are there for a reason. if there were no ratings, how would people know that there is mature content in the movie or if it's suitable for kids? i think that it will also give parents a hard time to know what movies their kids can watch and what they can't... so basically i think that the movie ratings sould stay the way that they are, if people under the age of 18 want to watch 18A rated movies, i suggest they wait until the DVD is out, and if they don't like that, they can go ahead and wait until they are 18 to watch it in the theatre.
